This is our second location, which we have decided to use for the house party scene. We were looking for a location that would represent a realistic location for a house party with young people. We decided on this location as it is a small house which is lived in by students and young people who would form part of our target audience. We know our target audience do not have a high income and therefore this is the type of accommodation that they might live in. We know that Indie Pop video locations are often low-budget, and this location reflects this because we are picking a small house which does not draw attention to materialistic elements.
It is also a confined space with not a lot of natural lighting. During this scene in the video, tensions begin to build between the couple which builds up to the climax of the video. The low lighting throughout the house reflects the darker side of the relationship that is going to unfold. The confined space throughout the house will emphasise the growing tension and further aid us in building to the climax of the video.
The house also leads straight onto a public footpath which is where we will film the climax of the video, where the male pushes the female to the ground.
